Control center concept for autonomous ships
I was part of a team creating a concept and first UI's for Rolls-Royce's autonomous ship control centers. The work consisted of contextual and desktop research, gap analysis, overall concept of the key elements and working processes for control centers, and finally first versions of UI's for monitoring and remote controlling autonomous fleets.
Rolls-Royce demonstrated world's first remotely operated commercial vessel in Copenhagen summer 2016. The remote control center won a Red Dot Design Award later in 2018.
